Councillor
Jai is a Director in the PwC New Zealand M&A Tax Team, with Trans-Tasman experience specialising in tax structuring, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border investments and tax disputes and controversy. She has experience working in Big Four accounting firms, covering Australian and New Zealand tax matters and gained legal experience working in the tax team of a leading full-service law firm in New Zealand.
She has had significant involvement with CA ANZ having started out in the Auckland Local Committee in 2016, being elected as a NZ Councillor in 2021 and joining the CA ANZ Council in 2025. Jai was awarded Fellowship in 2020, recognising the significant contribution she has made to the profession and the community.
Jai is committed to CA ANZ remaining a professional body which addresses both current and future challenges and opportunities and provides support and services that are fit for purpose for members. Over the years, she has actively worked with CA ANZ team e.g. presenting at colleges, recruitment drives at universities, and other events to share her experience and journey and encourage others in the profession to do the same to help inspire the future generation and bust myths about accountants.
She is also passionate about giving back to the profession and the community having held a number of governance roles, including as a trustee of Lifewise Trust and a Director of the New Zealand Philippine Business Council and regularly presenting on topical tax issues at various conferences and CA ANZ SIGs across New Zealand.
